Listing Sync
Listing Sync is the service name we use for getting businesses more visibility across the listing networks. We can publish their listing 2 different ways.
Yext
Listing Sync through Yext is built into the MarketPulse platform and all clients are encouraged to use this if they are working to DIY their marketing. It has an is easy to use interface to get started and a dashboard to measure progress. For clients on one of our Marketing Bundles all the listing management is done for you, it doesn't show in the listing module of Market Pulse, because internally we use a different platform.
Yext actively connects to over 70 Directories on the internet and publishes your information while simultaneously giving you a report on accuracy. This tool works very fast and can propagate your company contact information (and any updates) in less than a week.
Not all Listing services participate in a Listing Sync service. Others (think GPS systems, Mobile Apps and other search engines) will download a master database. Getting listed on this DB is how we handle our clients listings.
Sync Problems and Delays
Not all Listings sync instantly. It is recommended that you give this tool at least a week for all changes to propagate. On rare occasions, a specific listing cannot be updated with the Listing Sync tool, you should work with TLM to get this resolved. If you happen to see several listings stuck in ‘Syncing’ mode - this is typically because you have previously engaged a listing service (such as Yext). We will help you with not overlapping these services.
Listing Inconsistencies in Reputation Management
All sources with enough information to match the anchor data will be ranked and considered as “potential listings”. This means that some listings may be pulled in that do not belong to that given business. The unrelated listings will be considered relevant until they have been reviewed and selected as “not mine”, by the user. This can be done in the Listings tab of Reputation Management.
