Backlinks are valuable but a partner who links to your site can 'devalue' your backlink by using the relationship rel tag.

• remove tracking - a tag called 'noreferrer' will prevent your Google Analytics from measuring visits from this article.  Bottom line - if you are giving them your story, you want to measure its success and see how many visits to your website this article generates.  You WANT to track this
• do not endorse - another tag called 'nofollow' instructs the search engines that this content site does not want to share their 'link juice' or 'page authority' with your website.  Any work this site has done to build up its value in the eyes of Google is not to be shared with the website it is linking to.
