MarketPulse is a database-driven platform where every lead, customer, and partner is stored as a Contact. While most contacts are created automatically through website forms or chat widgets, there are many scenarios where you will need to create a contact record manually to ensure your sales pipeline remains accurate.
Manual entry is typically used for walk-ins, phone-in leads, or contacts met at networking events.

Tags are the primary way we categorize and trigger automation within MarketPulse. When looking at a contact, you should be able to see relevant tags to indicate what stage they are in an automation or event to trigger a new automation.
Pro Tip: Always perform a quick search for the contact's email or phone number before creating a new record. This prevents the creation of duplicates and saves time later.
Once a contact is created, you can manage their entire history from the Contact Details page.
